Framed cabinets are constructed with a “face-frame” installed at the front of the box, to which the cabinet door is then attached. The face frame – also known as the cabinet’s ‘picture frame’ – adds an extra dimension and strength to the cabinet.
Frameless cabinets differ from framed cabinets in that they do not have a face frame – instead, the doors are attached directly to the cabinet. This gives frameless cabinets a sleek aesthetic look that can work in many different design themes, from midcentury to modern.
